beatspaintandlife: misssecretagent: This artistic style is termed Cosmogramma, a combination of the words “cosmic” and “drama.” Created by Flying Lotus, the artist and musician describes his alchemical-looking surrealist artworks as visual philosophy. The artist believes that the creative will behind these pieces is centered on allowing one’s divine nature to flow onto paper, in essence, it is a language of the stars. Visually his artwork seems to be a delicate balance between the modern and the ancient worlds; layered within each piece is a deeply cosmic experience, a small reflection that we are all infinitely a part of something greater. love this album, FlyLo is that nigga Um actually he named the album Cosmogramma because he misheard the words “cosmic” and “drama” during a lecture being given by his aunt Alice Coltrane
